TV and Radio Host
Since 1997, I entered the media industry as a simple telephone operator to pay for my studies in my hometown of Mexico. I worked for Grupo Acir Morelos for almost 4 years in various positions, without realizing that I would find my calling in this wonderful field.
In 2003, I moved to the United States to fulfill professional dreams and new goals that did not initially include a place in the communication industry for me. However, it was God’s plan for me to return to this field by working for a Mexican regional genre radio station. During my time there, I worked as an on-air personality and learned, through empirical means, the audio and news production for independent production that we made for the state of Detroit for 3 and a half years.
Later, I worked for another radio station called “La Mega Tropicalísima,” which specialized in Caribbean music genres. This experience was spectacular as it expanded my performance and allowed me to interact with different audiences from Central America, Colombia, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and more.
Over the years, as I left radio, I began to use my innate talent in the television industry. I started making commercials, including those for Univisión 34 in Atlanta, and began hosting a program for CSBN TV under the direction of Mrs. Connie Sandoval. I am extremely grateful for this great opportunity because not only did I discover my innate talent, but it also helped me develop it further and discover even more about my vocation in the field of communication. It made me value this wonderful and powerful art even more, which goes beyond public recognition.
Today, with advanced technology, the communication industry must be a tool for building up our community and must be used with responsibility, not only because of the rules controlled by the FCC but also for the sake of respecting and preserving this valuable industry. As a “conductora,” or host, in this industry, it is my duty to ensure that communication is always used in a responsible manner.
